Default Commercial Yeast Harvest Questions

I took the yeast from the bottles of 6 Bell's Oarsmen Ale bottles to use for a starter to eventually be used in a Two Hearted Clone. I did this before with the same recipe and it was a great beer.

My question's are below regarding my first step before stepping up the starter:

1) I used about .75 L for the first starter, is this too much volume?
2) I used wort gravity of 1.040, did I screw something up by not using a lower gravity?
3) I used a stirplate, I can't imagine this negatively impacts things but figured I would ask if it did?

Am I OK to keep going and step up this starter? I see yeast in the starter after a day on the stirplate so I think I am fine but figured I would ask.

Thanks!

I don't see any problems with your process. You should be good to go.

Looks fine for the number of bottles you used to harvest. It would be too much wort if you were only using one or two bottles.

Thanks for confirming, I won't worry about it.
