Default 3711 Fermentation smells

I am getting a very strong banana bread odor off of a 48 hour old 3711 sitting at 77F. Is banana a typical characteristic of this yeast? I really hate banana flavors in my beer.

Don't worry. 3711 does not give off banana flavor.

Great yeast, it is chewing on the fermentables.
