Pros: Larger hopper than monstermill. Can be used with power drill. Adjustable rollers. Easy to clean. Fits nicely over standard buckets
Cons: Cannot be used with a motor/pulley system.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: A malt mill is a great thing to have as an avid all-grain brewer. This allows me to brew with super freshly milled malts and I can change the distance between the rollers very quickly when using adjuncts or smaller grain.

Pros: Crushes malt much faster than advertised with drill. Adjustment of roller bars is easy and the base fits perfectly over a 5 gallon bucket.
Cons: The hopper is a little flimsy.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This grain mill is awesome. I bought it before I was doing all grain, just so I could freshly mill my specialty grains just a few minutes before the brew to be able to keep all the aromas. Moving onto all grain, this mill is a work horse. With my cordless grill, I can easily go through a 12 lb grain bill in under two minutes. The only thing I wish is that I would have gotten a larger hopper.

Pros: Perfect crush, sturdy rollers
Cons: Flimsy hopper, smooth crankshaft, need a way to secure the base
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Like others, my efficiency increased significantly using this over the LHBS crush. Unfortunately, three factors prevent me from giving a perfect rating:

1) The crankshaft is smooth - there needs to be a more secure attachment for a drill and/or handle, and
2) This thing needs a handle on the base for more stability
3) My rollers were assembled backwards (a minor irritation when crushing manually)

I still recommend this mill, but was disappointed to find it needed modification rather being ready out of the box.

Pros: Very sturdy rollers which are adjustable. Easy clean up with a few quick burst of air from the air compressor.
Cons: 7 lbs. hopper that comes with it is too small and flimsy.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Mine must have been installed backwards. Like many people i hooked up my drill in place of the hand crank. One squeeze of the drill sent the whole thing on it's side spilling the grain and knocked over the bucket i had it sitting in. Hold, clamp or have your buddy pour the grain while you hold the base and mill the grain.
I forget how much it was, but I remember it was the best mill for the money.

Cons: Wish I got it sooner

Comments: Before getting the Barley Crusher, I was getting efficiency rates around 65-70%. Now I'm seeing my efficiency average around 85%!

Price: $124.99
Pros: comes with hoper and base, adjustable roller gap, I can crush my own grains now.
Cons: I wish the shaft had flats for chucking more securely in a drill. I'd like to add a handle to the base.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I went from around 65% to over 80% efficiency over my LHBS crush. The BC is well made and I am a happy camper. Sure I could have paid more for a 3 roller monster mill or something but this gets the job done and it's miles away from what I was getting without one. Best efficiency improver for the $.
I bought mine from brewmasters warehouse, with flat rate shipping it was cheaper than through barleycrusher's website, and even better if you order some ingredients to go with it.

Price: $114.50
Pros: Fully Adjustable Lifetime Warranty
Cons: Shorter and smaller rollers than some brands means longer mill time.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Although the smaller rollers will not grind as fast as brands with larger rollers, for the homebrewer doing 5-10 gallon batches it is not significant. For the price it will do a great job for as long as you wish to use it and that makes it the best value in my opinion.
