Price: $30.00
Pros: Affordable DIY solution.
Cons: None
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I use this same set-up on all my kettles, MLT, and soon on a trash can fermenter. No issues at all. LHBS probably loves the fact that I've bought over $100 of valves from him.

Pros: Quality stuff!
Cons: Was looking for diamond encrusted solid gold, but they were out.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Ordered a weldless fitting and a sightglass on july 2nd. Even with the fourth of July holiday I had them in my hands by the 6th. Game on!

Price: $32.00
Pros: Drilled my hole in my kettle with a proper tapering bit (cone bit). If you use a regular bit, you will get a leak which takes some fixing but it still works. Because I used the proper bit, there was no leak what-so-ever after simply screwing on. My LHBS sells the same part for $79.95. Hold up to heat from long full boils no problem, quality gaskets in there.
Cons: Not much really, if I were to design one myself....I would make the inside receiver piece a hexagon shape on the outside for easy tightening. Any set of pliers and a tight grip does just fine though.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Excellent quality fitting at a price less than half of my LHBS, gotta love it. If you buy this for a brew kettle, don't try and use a regular straight shaft drill bit. A cone bit works best for curved surfaces, and check frequently to see if you have hit the right diameter as you are drilling.

Price: $20.00
Pros: - Great way to get a ball valve on your kettle without knowing how to weld
Cons: - If installation isn't very well done, you'll have a small leak.
Recommended? No

Comments: Great Ball-Valve and great value. I would highly recommend it. Be careful in your installation or this sucker will leak a bit. Be sure not to over tighten or you'll pop your o-ring.

Price: $20.00
Pros: Best weldless fitting you can get. Has a machined locknut that keeps the washer from "squishing" out, which is a problem I've had with other fittings. Great price, solid product!
Cons: none
Recommended? Yes

Comments: If you are going to use a weldless fitting, this is the only one to buy. I've got one each from AHS and MoreBeer, and both of those started leaking after a few months or use. This unit comes with a machined nut that keeps the silicone o-ring in place and doing it's job sealing your vessel.

Comments: Added to 15 gallon aluminum kettle. Drilled hole and stuck this in. Took a touch of finessing to stop a small leak at first, but now it is just fine.

Bargain Fittings Weldless Brewpot Fitting Set
Pros: stainless throughout, full port, complete
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I actually bought the version for a cooler but later discovered that my cooler is single wall around the valve, but a bit of rearranging and the valve works great, no leaks, so much better than the tiny valve I had adapted. Just take a good look at what you're working with to select the right parts. I also bought a couple of ball valves, fittings and nipples to do some weld-ons for my kettles. Quality parts, good prices and quick shipping, in fact I emailed the same day to add something, he had already shipped the package.
