Default WTB: Hop Rhizomes Now (Out of Season)

I want to try an experiment to see if I can grow hops out of season, but no one is commercially selling them right now.

Does anyone happen to have any viable rhizomes now or know a place where I could buy some?

I think most of us are harvesting now, or getting ready to harvest, so I doubt anyone would want to destroy their harvest by digging rhizomes. That is usually done in early spring, before the growth of the plant starts.

Great Lake Hops may have crowns for sale now, though!

Yeah, you gotta be careful. I got 2 cascade rhizomes from northwesthops about a month ago and while they sent three, only 1 has made it.

I also ordered a goldings from ebay a few weeks ago and it was rotten on arrival and never grew at all. My plan was to get them partially growing this year to get a jump start on next year.
