From the website "This is the same as our new stainless steel immersion chiller but it features brass garden hose connectors. Approximate dimensions: 10" in diameter, 10" to the top coil, 14" inches to the bend in the inlet/outlet.".

Female connector failed during installation of connecting water line. This appears to be due to a purchased part, and isn't the fault of the company that sold it to me (Midwest Supply) .

I had bought it to use with the 7.5 gal pot they sell, and although I don't currently know for sure, it appears that it will work appropriately.

Price: $5.00
Pros: Almost free, works quite well.
Cons: Won't last forever, more rigid design would be nice.

Comments: Custom-built tight-budget immersion wort chiller. Kitchen faucet has "garden hose" adapter installed. Used a barbed female connector and 30 feet of 3/8" ID tubing to build coils. Used some old demolitions trigger wire (plastic-sheathed copper, chemically inert, pH stable, temperature and corrosion resistant - GREAT stuff to have around!) to cross-tie the coils together at several points. Works just like a copper immersion chiller, just not quite as fast - still, even with warm summer tap water, I can drop 6 gallons from 212* to 95* in about 30 minutes. The last bit goes slower, so I drop the intake tube into a bucket of ice water. Has served well and regularly for almost two years now.

Price: $50.00
Pros: Cheap, Easy to Clean, No Sanitation Worries.
Cons: Hoses tend to kink at connection to chiller.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: A good wort chiller for the price, I can chill under 85f in under 15 minutes. Maybe a little small for full 5 gallon boils, but I do use it for that purpose.

Price: $49.99
Pros: Solid construction, plenty of tubing length, no leaks
Cons: No washer in connection....but this is a minimal con.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I bought this when I started to brew. This thing is easy to clean, well built, and can cool my wort down to pitching temperatures within 8 minutes on average(I stir while I use the immersion chiller). Cheaper than brass and a prefect fit into 20qt brewpots.

Comments: This product works pretty well. You will probably need a nylon washer at the hose bib connection, unless you don't mind water going everywhere.
