I don't have any prior experience with heat exchangers, but this thing works incredibly well.

The tap water temp was very low today, with air temps in the upper 40s. It was my first time using the heat exchanger, so I recirculated the wort assuming I would have to run it through a couple of times. I doubt that now. Recirculating, it ran the whole 5 gallons down to 70 in about 5 minutes. I probably could have gone straight into fermenter.

$75 well spent.

Pros: They work like advertised. Fast dependable service. They have several sizes to choose from to balance your needs of chilling with the right size chiller.
Cons: As with ALL non-servicable chillers. You must take care cleaning and sanitizing or you will ruin beer.

Comments: DudaDiesel has many sizes of heat exchangers. This will allow you to find one that fits all of your criteria. I recommend you take time to read their chart on choosing one. And as for the person who did the review who said they couldn't get a response, I find it hard to believe. I have had several dealings with this company for beer goods and bio-diesel and they are top notch with support for me.
I also have a Blichman unit; I think the Blichman is built a little better, but I'm happier with the price/quality ratio of the DudaDiesel unit.

It doesn't matter which brand you buy, clean clean clean. Then make sure it is sanitized twice over. My Blichman unit is 3 years old with many many brew put through it and little pieces of debri seem to never quit coming out of it when back flushing. I now keep an extra inline filter in front of my plate chillers.

Summary; Buy with confidence.

Pros: Cools down wort FAST!
Cons: Takes time to clean
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Great Product. I have used this three times now and it cools my wort in less than 10 minutes. I am brewing in Nov so the ground water is colder, but it is impressive nonetheless.

Pros: Works Great
Cons: none
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I've had this just about a year.
Cools wort down to coolant temperature as fast as I can pump it.
They accidentally sent me the wrong one on a Thursday I called and they over nighted a new one on friday, I brewed with it Saturday.
They have different configurations dependant on your set up.
