Bought this @ Lowes for $64.99 a few months ago as a cheap way to get into outside brewing.

VITALS:
The basic kit comes with a 30qt aluminum stockpot w/ lid, 10psi regulator, thermometer, and turkey lifter (the "upgrade" kit has a stockpot with a simple drain valve). The burner stand is simple to assemble, although I had to tinker with the vent/spring assembly to get optimal adjustment.

BOTTOM LINE:
For 5 gallon batches it's worth picking this up on sale if you can't afford (or don't want to wait on) something better. The timer feature sucks, but thanks to a few inattentive folks, it's the law. It's not a Saturn V rocket engine, but it gets the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Plus you're brewing outside and your family can't gripe about the mess/smell.

IMPRESSION:
With experience, it brings water/wort/oil to a boil reasonably fast without using a ton of propane. Surprisingly, I find the pot is capable of holding mash temps. Again, this requires a bit of experience, but that goes for anything. My main complaint is the timer feature...while this is good for an ADDer like myself, it does get annoying after a while. Ironically, the "meat" thermometer seems to be more accurate for brewing than it is frying a turkey. In any event, I doubt I'd upgrade unless I were to start doing 10gal batches.

Price: $65.00
Pros: Good, Cheap kit for a start-up.
Cons: rivets leak, pot is a bit thin, 10 gal would be preferable to allow more boil over protection
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This pot works pretty well, and you get the burner and pot for what a burner would cost otherwise. Will upgrade my pot soon , as I would like a bit more room for the hotbreak.
