Pros: more BTU's than you'll ever need, sounds like a jet engin. windscreen
Cons: air to propane ratio is difficult to get right so that the flames aren't sputtering
Recommended? Yes

Comments: My first propane burner, Works great, but you may have to fiddle with the air intake to get the flames to burn steady and not sputter. windscreen works

Pros: cheap works
Cons: hungry for gas noxious fumes
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This thing blows through propane very fast. As in 2 boils per refillable tank. Hopefully, an additional windscreen can keep this to a minimum. It certainly does the job well, though. I HIGHLY recommend you let it burn on high for at least 20min prior to using it as the black paint burns off - its noxious and can't be good for you or your beer. Got mine on amazon.com.

Pros: reduces waiting time to bring to a boil, uses very little gas once you get it to a rolling boil.
Cons: Air/gas mix is a little bit of a pain until you get use to it. Burnt paint smell the first few time of use.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I bought this burner from ACE for $45 and it has been a huge improvement over my old burner. What took about 30-45 min before takes about 5-10 min to bring to a boil. Once it's brought to a boil just easy up on the gas and it has no problem keeping things going. It has probably cut about an 1 off my brew day(my old burner was horrible). Make sure you it up a few time for about 5-10 min to let the paint burn off.

Price: $40.00
Pros: Good value good burner
Cons: size paint
Recommended? Yes

Comments: 20 psi regulator and high pressure burner can't be priced individually for much less, stand is basically free. Almost always $40 with free shipping at amazon. Keggles will not fit perfect, but they stay on. If looking for a stand for keggle, go for the SQ-14 model ($40-50). Like other reviewer says, let the paint burn off before putting your boil pot on...you don't want any of that sh1t in your beer.

Pros: Good flame, sturdy construction.
Cons: PAINT! The paint on this unit will burn off the first time it is fired up and emits foul-smelling fumes. Just boil plain water for half and hour prior to brewing to burn off the paint. Control valve is a little touchy.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: If you are wondering why I paid so little, watch Amazon.com. These go on sale there from time to time.

Bayou Classic SP-10 High Pressure Cooker
Price: $54.00

Comments: This was a great investment. I had to move from the stove once I started making the move into full boils and partial mashes. This thing has the power to bring 6 gal to a rolling boil in less than 40 minutes. it comes with everyting you need including the connection hose and stand. There is also a needle valve on the hose so you can dial down the flame for maintaining mash temperatures. Sturdy construction, but you have to watch out for the paint. I recommend running it full open for about 20 minutes to burn off the black paint and lower the risk of getting any nasties in your brew.
