Price: $240.00
Pros: None really. Its made in the USA, but I guess that does not mean allthat much anymore since it is poorly made and designed.
Cons: High price, lack of proper welds, spigot poorly designed.
Recommended? No

Comments: Really disappointed with this pot. I paid the extra money (compared to a megapot) because it was made in the USA. That was a mistake.

First of all it is not welded on the inside so the crud can hide where the two holes for the spigot and temp gauge are on the inside, and infect your beer. Also the spigot is really hard to screw on and does not seal all the way, which leaves a space on the inside of the valve, which means there is another spot for crud to hide and ruin your beer. It is also hard to screw on properly, so it feels like it is going to snap each time you put it on.

Really poorly designed pot for the money. I'll probably just use it as an overpriced HLT so I don't ruin my beer.

Also, when I emailed polarware with some questions, I got a really rude response back from them.

Just go with a megapot. The weldless fittings still need to be cleaned, but are easier to take apart and you don't have to worry about damaging them every time you.

Price: $115.00
Pros: low-profile, so fits nicely on kitchen range (in spite of very low overhanging vent-hood). good construction.
Cons: handles and lid heat quickly, and are not insulated.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: great for beginners and people with small living spaces. but you still need a good, large-sized gas stove to use this indoors. (the heat distribution only works well if you can straddle the kettle on two or more gas burners.)

Price: $38.00
Pros: Affordable, Good Quality
Cons: Flimsier material than most pots.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Great for beginners at a very affordable price. You can use it for other things too so it isn't a bad thing to have around the house.

Price: $229.99
Pros: Plenty of room for 5 Gallon batches. Stainless Steel Integral Valve Nipple with 1/2" FIP inside The height to diameter ratio is similar to the Boilermaker which is ideal to minimize boil-off and also prevent boil-overs.
Cons: None if you can pay the price.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I had drooled over one of these for years and got one for Christmas last. I even considered the Blichman Boilermaker but found that it had features I didn't want and the height to diameter ratio on the Polar Ware was very close to the same as the Boilermake which was one of the features I did like about the Blichman. I have been extremely satisfied with my choice and it is a vast improvement over the 32 Quart MegaPot I had been using.
