Price: $175.00 Pros: Great tiny little unit (though the gf says it may still be a little big). Keeps temp well, runs quiet, easy to operate and easy to convert to a kegerator Cons: Need to get a temp regulator as even the lowest setting is in the deep freeze range. Thought I could fit 3-4 5 gal corny kegs, but without some slight modifications (banging a bit more space into the side walls) it looks like it only holds 2, with possibly room for a 2.5 gal as well. Recommended? Yes
Comments: Haier 5 cu ft chest freezer:
-Works great!
-Easy to convert to kegerator
-Quiet running
-Efficient
-Wont quite hold as many 5 gal corny's as I was hoping, holds 2 easy, may hold 3 with mods
-Needs a temp controller as even the lowest setting is deep freeze

Price: $0.01 Pros: Free! Left in the house by the previous owner. Space in the main fridge for 3 cornies and a 10# tank, 4 cornies if I modify it so the tank is outside. Freezer used for food, hops and yeast. Cons: Due to compressor hump, had to create a wooden stand. Recommended? Yes
Comments: This is a standard freezer on top fridge. Shelving has been removed to allow the kegs and tank to fit in the main compartment.

Price: $150.00 Pros: Holds three corny kegs, price was right. Cons: Barely holds three kegs, closing the door is a bit of a challenge. Recommended? Yes
Comments: I inherited a DIY single-tap upright ghettorator with Sanke connections and a mold infestation. Took care of those problems and added two taps. I store my hop bank in the freezer.

Price: $300.00 Pros: professional glastender barback cooler w/ homemade draft tower ALWAYS works w? lots of room Cons: take up some serious space Recommended? Yes
Comments: i bought a used glastender barback keg cooler off of craigslist. i had a guy weld up a draft tower (because buying one was too much $). i can get 4 corny kegs + 20lb CO2 tank in just 1/2 of the cooler. it was worth the effort to build

Price: $1.00 Pros: you can always find a cheap or free fridge. Cons: sometimes they like to break down if you get an older fridge Recommended? Yes
Comments: even if a fridge quits working, you can find another for cheap any day of the week, and it gives you another excuse to work in the garage!

DIY Some kind of fridge
Price: $300.00 Recommended? Yes
Comments: I used a 7 cu ft Frigidaire chest freezer as a base, raised the lid ~7 inches with 2x8's so 5 corny kegs and their tubing and fittings will fit inside (2 on the hump), and drilled four holes in the front wood for Perlick faucets. I used a temperature regulator to keep temps between 40 and 45 degrees. All inspired by descriptions and photos from this forum

Comments: I followed the DIY forum topic here for the Frigidaire Model FRC445GB Mini-Fridge Kegerator Conversion.
When you drill your holes, make sure the tap assembly will clear the 5 gallon kegs (I think they are 26 inches high).

Comments: Keezer. Craigslist $50 freezer, super tall collar (allows cornies "on the hump"). It's awesome! I only gave it less than a ten due to my poor carpentry skills.
