Price: $50.00
Pros: Runs forever.
Cons: Loud. Expensive.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I bought one of these back in the early 1990's from a then famous Hollywood based rock band that told me they had traded PA equipment for it but had probably stolen it from a banquet hall.

I took it to an appliance repair place to get it checked out on my way home. They topped off the freon (yeah 1990's) for ~$15. I plugged it in and it has been chugging away ever since. I have converted it from Sanke to Guiness to homebrew and back a few times.

It refuses to die. The copper colored stainless body has been banged up and neglected but remains intact.

I can highly recommend this for a garage or basement unit. It makes enough noise for me to advise not keeping it in your kitchen or living room.

Price: $2,500.00
Pros: I have the double door DD58 model. Huge storage space for lagers or kegs. All parts are availabe online and the unit is servicable.
Cons: This is a comercial unit so it is kind of loud in a house. Takes up a bit of space. Draws more energy than most home kegerators. Makes me thirsty when I look at it..lol
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I bought this unit used and in kind of rough condition, but for $350 I couldnt beat the deal! I have replaced both door seals, rebuilt the door locks, added new beer lines, added a 3 line gas manifold, added Perlick faucets and a new compressor. I spent a couple weeks cleaning it up and fixing some minor exterior cosmetic issues. My wife and I LOVE this kegerator!! I plan on keeping my beverage air until it blows up..Or until Dec. 21st, 2012. Whatever..lol
