Never used this yeast before... brewed yesterday and ended up on target with an OG of 1.058. I didnt have a chance earlier in the week to get my starter going so I made it during the brew session. Starter OG was 1.05. I put in on the stirplate and off she went, fermenting like crazy.

So, I put the 10 gallons of wort in two carboys in the basement where they settled at 57* (starter was in the basement also). Pitched today after 24 hours.

8 hours later and no action... I'm getting worried. Yea, I know... just wait and see what happens. Would letting the wort sit for 24 hours with no yeast have any affect on it?

Shouldn't have any bearing on the finished beer. I usually let my beer set for 12 - 24 hours and rack them off the trub before pitching yeast. No need to worry.
