Whoops! I added YEast nutrient to the boil

Yesterday I brewed some pumpkin ale and I added yeast nutrient to the boil and I accidently added more then I ha intended too. maybe 2 1/2 teaspoons full. What effect if any will this have on my beer. Also I noticed it was a extra bitter and slightly off. Is that form the nutrient? Thanks everyone

Should be fine - I see no problems at all. I don't think any extra bitterness is from the nutrient.

i dont think it will have any effect.

You'll be fine. I've noticed a strong metallic (zinc?) smell when I add yeast nutrient to my starters. Never had a problem.

So relax, don't worry, and have a homebrew...but not at work.

Hmm then i wonder whats up with the bitterness. .8oz Liberty for 60min and then .22 OZ of Cascade for 45 min. Good for a red?

Might just be some zinc, but the yeast will consume it.
