When to repitch after blow off
 

Hey gang,

When if ever should one repitch after a lid or significant blow off tube experience? I usually get some blow off when brewing my Hef, this time it was significantly more. Fermentation is still going after 5 days so it's not stuck for sure, just curious if I should pitch another vial or ???

Thoughts?

No need. to. repitch. Just let it go.

It's fermenting why would you need to pitch more yeast?

I was only thinking that the blow off left me with fewer yeast and we all know what under pitching does...

But seriously, just leave it alone. Maybe replace the blow off tube so you can clean the first one. You should try underpitching once in a while. The effects of under-pitching are difficult to replicate if you have healthy yeast unless you MASSIVELY under pitch.
