I'm kegging 10 gallons of Kolsch, then hitting Lake Travis for some well deserved R&R on the boat.

They were over-staffed at work today, so I got sent home! So as we speak I have 2.5 gallons on the stove to boil for my Honey Wheat.

I doughed in at 6:50 20.5 lbs of grain for a 10 gallon batch of American wheat. My brother came home with his family for the weekend (even though he just moved 14 hours away 2 weeks ago) and wants to brew a stout, so just as soon as the boil is over and it is in the fermentor i should have 5 gallons of stout ready to boil this evening. Did i mention i am also kegging 10 gallons of an APA and 5 gallons of my V-Lager this evening as well.

Now i just need to get the grill going and those brats grilling in time for the sauerkraut and potato love i have steaming in some carmel cream ale right now!

life is good this evening!

Just pitched a starter of Wyeast 1968 London Ale into Orfy's Hobgoblin...

Oh boy!

I have heard of alot of things but pitching a starter into someones hobgolblin, now that takes the cake!

Did you finish him off with the Brown Hogan?

I have a hefe I'm racking tomorrow and a stout I'm brewing on Sunday. I'm thinking about picking up some mason jars and trying my first yeast wash with the cake from the hefe. I used the Wyeast 3068 and I've heard nothing but good things about that yeast so I wouldn't mind making a couple more hefe's out of it.

My plans are to brew a partial mash Nut Brown Ale.

Sometimes plans change... I also need to work on some things around the house.

I'd like to do my Brown Ale staple tomorrow, but work is paying me twice my regular rate to provide my services. I'll take as much of that as I can get. The Brown can wait until Sunday if necessary. Overtime = happy SWMBO.

Getting up early and doing a Diamond Knot IPA clone! A buddy of mine has a party coming up and asked if I'd make some beer for it! He also wants to sit in and see how it's done because he wants to start brewing as well!!!

:mug:

Rogue Hazelnut Brown clone. Lots of onlookers tomorrow as everyone that's tried my beer is taking an interest it seems! Should be a lot of fun as someone is bringing a smoker over to smoke some pork and beef as well.

Brewing my Fat Tire Clone today. Got a couple local guys coming over to watch the AG process. Should be a good day.

Nothing's brewing here. Wife is out of town, so I get HWMBO duty AND I have to work through the weekend while he's asleep. If I'm lucky, I'll rack my wine and my Weizen.

Working on a cherry wheat. Brewed it last weekend then racked it onto 5lbs. of cherries last night. Was expecting some fermentation in the secondary but it took off like crazy! Had to put a blow off tube on this morning.

I'm finally getting around to the 777 IPA tomorrow. Should be good by September, I guess. I bottled a SNPA clone this morning. I might start a batch o' Apfelwien tonight.
I just got home from another 100+ dollar shopping trip at the LHBS. Maybe I'll even get the grass cut this weekend. Or maybe not.:D Life is good today!

Tonight the barleywine gets bottled, once the carboy is cleaned out a British Bitter gets racked into it for secondary. Tomorrow I plan on brewing either a Corona clone or a Red Ale.

Wee Heavy - Monday though, but 4-day weekend for me so it counts. P.S. 'rents are in town visiting and fitted the $350 bill at the HBS today. My dad and I also built a new wort chiller - 50 feet 1/2" copper tubing and we are building a new 15 gallon mashtun - both also free to me. So Monday will be the virgin run on my new upgraded equipment. I'm excited. :ban:

Racked the Kolsch and sampled both 777 beers.

Cleaned the fermentation fridge that had some hop pellet splatter and blow off residue on the bottom.

Cleaned taps on the kegerator and the drip tray.

Hopefully brewing next weekend.

Making either an APA or IPA...It depends on my efficiency.
I'll let you know in a couple hours

EDIT: it is an IPA.

I was going to try to brew both a Grand Cru and an Ordinary Bitter last night. I got the Grand Cru in the primary at 3am. I discovered I'm short an airlock for the Bitter so it will have to wait until next week.

Perfect brewing weather here, but I'm on kid duty this weekend, plus I have to work. Too hot and humid to have a little guy outside for a few hours.

Gonna rack some Boom Boom Vanilla to secondary.
Possibly make an IPA - found a mightily hoppy recipe online
using a bunch of Warrior, Chinook, Centennial, and Williamette.

I LOVE HOPS!!!!

British Pale Ale (Bass-sih Clone)
Canadian Lager (Just add water - set it and forget it!!!)

Next week:
Apfelwein and Oatmeal Stout (first PM!!!!)

Had a wonderful brew day - the beer turned out quite well, so far. 80% efficiency, no major problems yet. Even the yeast starter finally managed to get going.

Well...I do have a bit of a problem...I'm fermenting a lager, but my lagerator can't keep up with this damn heat. Setting it to anything less than 60 causes it to freeze up and quit. I think the solution is a better (bigger) A/C unit. But for now, I hope my Budvar Steam beer isn't too fruity.

Bottled this weekend, but tonight I brew my first Dry Stout.
