What beers are you planning on drinking new years eve? Whats the first beer you plan to crack open sunday morning?

My smoked porter will be ready to sample after two weeks in the bottle and a Grand Cru from Brasserie Bink at Kerkom I got while touring Belgium in October.

I suspect a Tannen Bomb, some blackberry wheat, maybe a porter. May top if off with a hot buttered rum.

whatever chickie and petes has on tap. most likely nothing special but it is where ill be for the occasion.

I have 2 bottles of the first brew I made, I plan to have one at 12:00:01 and then will have the last on the 1st anniversary of my brewing hobby.

A SMASH pale should be ready by then and i'll have a double black ipa on tap as well. Might bust into a Belgian quad if i feel friskier.

My very first recipe in its final form will be ready on new years eve...a 12 pack of it. I also have a special edition Duval, a weihenstephan, DFH Pangea and I am going to my new local craft beer tavern...should be an interesting night

I have friends coming into town for a party, and we'll be having a few beers. By Belgian Golden Strong, my RIS, my Christmas Ale (a Belgian Dark Strong Ale) and my Nut Brown Ale. We'll probably have a bit of all of them over the course of the day and night.

Will be out on the town, so whatevery craft brews are on hand, and some champagne, and some Bud Light to be sure I don't over do it with high ABV beers. Which is bound to happen.

Sunday morning, I will be drinking advil and water. And when I recover a few Brown Porters.

Picked up a bottle of cantillion rose de gambrinus for the evening.
And a bunch of homebrew of course.

Will be drinking two of my beers on tap, a single hop Nelson Sauvin IPA and a great pale ale with coriander (i know, not exactly seasonal). Then probably one of my RIS bottles.

I will finish out the night with my new years tradition...a bomber of Sweetwater's Happy Ending. Not only one of my favorite commercial brews, but also a very fitting name for New Years.

Looking back at my post...will need to take it easy on the ipa and pale ale...haha:drunk:

I have my pin cask full of Scottish ale ready to tap along with my supply already on tap in my frig.
A Wee Heavy, an IPA, a coffee stout, and a Schwarzbier.

Saw the last bottle of Infinium on the shelf at the beer store just now while browsing at lunch (I browse a lot during lunch. I should probably stop this) so I bought it despite warnings it suckss.

The last of my '11 Pumking, DFH Bitches Brew, and 1 or 2 Founder's Breakfast Stouts preceded or followed by something a little lower in %abv.

This is the 1st year the wife and I are even going to leave the house in many years. We have freinds that are having a small party. I will be bringing some holiday mixed 6er's as gifts and some for consuption.

Holiday Mixed:
Peppermint baltic chocolate porter (bottled last March)
Imperial milk stout (capped w/ O2 barrier caps for aging until next year)
Gingerbread spiced ale
Red Rye
Cran-cherry-orange milk american wheat (This is very very strange)
Kolsh

I will also have some of the homebrews I have stashed.

Stash:
Caramel whiskey barrel smoked wee heavy
Mullberry peppercorn bavarian wheat
Smoked american brown
Apfelwien

I am sure there will be some Bud Light (NOT MINE) and some champagne as well. I also have freinds that may stop over with some interesting craft brews.

We are spending the night so there is no need for driving after the party starts. I am not saying this because we are a home brew forum but because there are other people that think they can drink and drive. If you are traveling be extra careful for OTHER people and please do not drink and drive.

Happy Holidays! :mug:

Well, the pale I had going just isn't going to be ready, which I'm bummed about but forcing myself not to rush good beer. I'd rather serve someone else's beer than have people think I'm not a very good brewer.

However, I just tossed one of my Belgian IPAs into the fridge yesterday and it is fantastic. Best beer I've ever made, and potentially in the top 10 beers I've ever had. I'll toss a case of that in the fridge tomorrow night and serve that along with a 5 gallon keg of Green Flash 30th West Coast IPA or 30th Street Pale ale that I'll pick up on my way home tonight. At the brewery, which is walking distance from my work and my home;)

My wife and I will be spending the weekend at Bavarian Manor, which always has a good selection of German drafts, so that's what I'll be drinking. New Years Day, I'll be drinking my Warrior IPA and Autumn Leaf Amber, while watching my Giants play the Cowboys. Happy New Year to all!:mug:

I'll be drinking my Lakewood Pale Ale freshly kegged last Friday. Happy New Year everybody! :mug:

Probably a little bit of a few things. A sure thing will my EXACTLY 365 day old Am. barley wine which I have yet to taste. Should be good. Then it might be 2010 Old Guardian or 2010 Trader Joe's Vintage Ale by Unibroue and then a sparkling 8 month old apfelwein at 12:00. In reality, I just have too many to pick from.

Depends on where I end up and who I'm with. I'll put a few graffs, some m.o./fuggle smashes, and some pride of raubsville/disgrace of kirklands in the fridge just to be safe though.

The line-up includes:
Cigar City Marshal Zukoff
'07 Dogfish Head 120 min
Victory V12

Homebrews:
Christmas in a Bottle spice beer
Wolfberry Saison
Yopp's Fragrant Hops IIPA

I picked up a variety pack of some Wasatch brews. Apricot heffy, polygamy porter, evolution amber, raspberry wheat and a case of pabst for good measure. My wife is staying with the kids at her Brothers house for a "Girls Night" with the nieces, and I plan to be up late playing some Black Ops! Pm me if you wanna get down on some team battles! HomeBrewTalk team all the way!!!

Their motto is "Why have just one" I'm in Utah and its a local brewery. They have some quality brews.

I'll be drinking some house pale ale and perhaps a few Chimay that SWMBOclause got me for Christmas.

I will be drinking a seirra nevada pale ale clone I made about 2 months ago, while I brew!!! What better to do during the day on New Years Eve than brew beer. I'll be doing my first lager. Its an okanagan springs 1516 lager clone. Hopefully all goes well.

Matt

I will be drinking either my El Hefe (hefeveizen) or my light red ale. Will be brewing another light red ale (experimenting with different variables) and a bock.
