Hill Farmstead's Society & Solitude #5. A most excellent IPA.
It also happens to be a very beautiful beer as well. Thank you for the Surly Furious. I enjoyed one last night.

Loved everything about it; appearance, aroma, especially loved the flavors, and it's an insanely drinkable ~8%. Definitely cracked my top 5 IPAs after the first sip.
Glad you liked the Furious. I tried to find some a little fresher than the ones canned on Oct. 12, but everything I found was that batch.

Got out of work early so I am drinking a Ghandi-Bot. At 8.8% it and one of something else will make it a very bad idea for them to call me back into work.

Had a nice Doppelbock while cleaning my house and doing paperwork for my ranches, and after scrubbing the floor, I'm opening my last Sierra Nevada Narwhal. I guess it is Stout Day?

Yesterday was the first time I've had it and I must say, great DIPA. Sea Hag isn't a bad IPA either, so if you haven't had it, pick some up.

This is a very interesting beer. I almost want to call it an American Porter rather than a black IPA. Not very bitter, but a respectable amount of hop flavor and aroma. The hop aroma is fruity and floral, but there's a malt presence that's just at a higher level than most black IPA/CDAs I've had before. It's a winner for me!

That's pretty much my take on it. 21st Amendment contracts with a brewery right down the road from 3rd Street, so there's sort of a rivalry between then and Back in Black. I think they're both excellent, but Bitter Neighbor definitely has more roasty-ness and less bitterness than most CDAs.

I had a couple of my cascade pale ales today. It has really turned a corner in the past few days. It went from being really dry and watery tasting, to a pretty good beer (more of a spring/summer beer though)! I was hoping it would get better, because I was gonna dump it, if it didn't improve.
