Default We're number one!

Apparently, government studies show that adult binge drinkers prefer beer to hard liquor and wine.

I'm sure glad our government is researching this sort of thing.

Since when is 4-5 pints a night...every night...considered "binge drinking"?

People who binge drink have significantly higher rates of alcoholism, drunk driving, sexual assault (either victim or perpetrator, depending on gender), and poor academic and job performance compared to people who do not binge drink. This is especially true among 18-24 year olds, even those not in college.

I just graduated from Ohio University and I can tell you about some binge drinking. There were several people that I knew that could easily drink a case of natty in a night.

4-5 pints every night = the good life

4-5 one-liter growlers every night = binge drinking

There's a difference. With average ABV brews, after 4-5 pints, I'm happily buzzed. How is that binging?

Yep.
And the effects are essentialy gone by next morning. If I drank the equivalent in hard liquor, or even BMC, I'd have a raging headache the next morning.

They say 1-2 drinks a night are good for you... and 12-15 are bad for your relationship
