Default Tubing and pump problem

For some reason when I turn the pumps on after priming them they will occasionally suck too fast causing the tube to collapse and get bad flow. Do you think this is because I don't have a ball valve on the pumps and only on the keg?

Yeah, you want unrestricted flow into the pump. a ball valve on the outlet will let you control the flow rate without collapsing the tube.

Seconded. Don't restrict upstream of the pump. Put a ball valve directly on the output of the pump and use that to control the flow.
