Because God hates it when you drink bad beer
The one here in town has a pretty strong following. They meet once a month at the local tab room or a brewery. http://www.iowabrewersunion.com/
Most clubs have monthly meeting where members sample each other's beer. Bringing a few printed copies of the recipe to meetings might be a good idea.

Have a clear idea of the type of club you want to form.
1. Hardcore brewers
2. Bunch of friends who brew together.
3. Drinking club with a brewing problem.
