so if you get 5 or 10# of hops, do they come in one bag?

I believe the hops are sold by the pound, in one pound bags. At least that's my experience.

When we sell to homebrewers, they are packaged in one pound vacuum sealed bags. +1 for the Foodsaver! Re-using the bag and vacuum sealing your hops would be the best bet, then storing them in the freezer.

I've been using the ziplock vacuum bags like this for a while to store left over hops and other brewing herbs Iincluding bulk hops from HopsDirect, and I've never had a problem with them...I've reused the bags several times, and I've never lost a seal or had a bag "recompress" on me.
