Default Starter Question / Will 1/2 gal of starter do two batches?

Guys,

when I make a starter i use a 1/2 gal growler with about 6 1/2 cups of water, 2 cups of dme, and yeast.

I have never done this but I want to brew 2 batches at once and was wondering if I can split the starter netween the both batches

I am going to use 8 oz of washed yeast and most likly make it a couple of days ahead

Depends on the beer. MrMalty.com has a good pitching calculator

What type of beer? If you step it up it for sure will work from one vial.

If your starter is going well I think you could split that fine. You mean 2 5 gallons right?

I am going to make 2 five gal batches, so I would like to put about 1 qt in one five gal and the other qt in the other five gal

I have never used my washed yeast yet

CAN I JUST WARM THE 8 OZ JAR TO ROOM TEMP AND TOSS THAT IN THE CARBOY???

OR GO WITH THE STARTER?
