Spent grain cookies for horses any recipes?

Well i made my first all grain batch of beer and i was wondering if anyone has a good recipe to use the grains to make horse treats?

I do this for my dogs:

Mix equal parts moist grain and flour to create a dough like consistency.
Add flavoring if necessary (I use peanut butter for dogs, not sure for horses)
Add an egg or two based on batch size (I find they stick together enough regardless)
Roll out onto a baking sheet (<=0.5" thick). Bake at 350F for an hour, reduce to 200F for a few hours, when baked hard they are done, watch for burning.

Great for dog treats, as you can cut them up based on the size of your dogs, but if I had horses, I'd just give them shovels full of grain

I think I am going to try this too. I am going to add little bits of peppermints to them. Our horses love peppermints.

I made some for our dogs using pumpkin puree and cooked sweet potato along with peanut butter. I think horses would probably like these, as well. You could probably also add some cooked carrots or apples and swap out the peanut butter for molasses. But, I think horses generally like peanut butter so they will probably eat them as is.

4 cups spent grain
3 cups flour
1 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup pumpkin (more or less depending on consistency)
1/4 cup sweet potato

Mix all ingredients in large bowl until about the consistency of thick cookie dough. Spoon out in individual cookies based on your dog size onto cookie sheets... For horses, I'd say just make large bars.

Cook in 325 oven until brown (probably 30 - 45 mins), keep warm in low oven (170) until solid (several hours).
