I got a wort chiller and a Bayou Classic SQ14 for christmas so I'm moving off the stovetop and into the garage today. (SWMBO is ecstatic about this - bonus!)
Going all grain and full volume boil for the first time.
I'm making a special bitter -
8 lbs. 2 row pale, .5 lb. 90L, .5 lb. Carapils, 2 oz Fuggles 4.8% at 60/20/5.
Keeping it simple for my first full boil. I've been doing partial mash so I'm pretty comfortable with that procedure, but I've been doing 3 gallon stovetop boils so that'll be new for me. Also first time using my immersion chiller. Wish me luck!!

Heating up my water for a California Common. Finally got my MLT to not leak so it is time to give it a spin. Also need to bottle a Munich/Fuggles SMaSH and a Chocolate/Hazelnut Sweet Stout sometime this weekend.

Just brewed a japanese style super dry pilsner. We'll see how my first use of flaked rice will go! I've never brewed anything this light or potentially this crisp. I'm excited!

My Irish Ale is in the fermenter. Seems like my process gets more streamlined every time I brew. I'm kicking back now with a couple of Ballast Point offerings. Life is good!

I just brewed two 5 gallon batches. Oberdorfer Weissbier and Bee cave brewery haus Pale ale.

Both went very well. I am tired. I think I am going to relax and have a homebrew.

Canceled the brew today. Brewing as soon as I get up tomorrow. Might make it a double day: American stout for sure, might go for the Two Hearted Clone.

Quick poll: Best hop for an American stout?
Cascade
Centennial
Chinook
Columbus
Blend?

going to attempt two batches tomorrow, I ordered all the grain for 4 batches about 5 weeks ago and only got to brew one so far. Hope it's all still good. Going to do a newcastle clone from midwest, and I ordered all the ingredients for bee haus pale, and IPA, so I gotta pick which one I'll do. Hopefully I can get my fat donkey out of bed early and get moving so I don't spend all day brewing.

Did my second AG today. (Same recipe as the first one I did on Wednesday). Also got to use my new wort chiller pump to avoid freezing the garden hose again!
