Default So i had this piece of PVC in my boil today...

Yup. I have a marked piece of PVC that I use to measure volume. Quick dunk and out before I put the fire to the kettle. Dropped that sucker in by accident then fired it up. Boiled it for every bit of 45 min before I found it when I dropped the chiller on it. What a waste. Sounds like I will dump it in the morning. Lesson learned. I need a measuring stick with a hook on it so it don't fall in as easy.

Sorry for your loss. I will hoist one in its honor this afternoon.

A sight tube might be a good investment. Might be cheaper than a dumped batch...

Cheers!

I made marks on the handle of the metal spoon I use to stir before I bought a kettle with a sight glass.
