Default Silver lining in a bad situation...

Well, the bad thing is right now i have no homebrew to drink. It's either gone or still aging or is already going to friends of mine. Brewed up a batch last weekend and planning some more so i will have some more soon (also have two batches to keg this weekend). The good thing about it is I went to the store last week to get some beer (since there was none in the house). On the way there i started thinking "watch they will have DFH Midas Touch there today". Sure enough, they had it! It was expensive but I had just gotten my economic stimulus check so I didn't care. I ended up buyinh 4 4packs. And then for even better news, I just got email notification today from bottletrek that my shipment of 8 bottles of Rochefort 10 is on the way! Sometimes running out of homebrew can be a good thing!

I bought a case (48 12s) of DFH60 a week or two ago, the first beer I've bought for my own consumption in years. It was $37 with sales tax. I asked about 90 and 120 - I was told they were special order only and went for about $60! Holy #@%! Sixty bucks? Maybe next time...

The place where i get my beer from still has some DFH 120 left. But they only sell them individually and they are $8 per bottle! Good every once in a while but man that's expensive. They ALWAYS have 90 min. though. The Rochefort 10 was WAY expensive but i got them for a better price than what you would pay at the bar ($11 a piece at the bar).

Yeah it is. So at $8 a bottle it's pretty much worth the money. It's like an entire 6 pack in a bottle! lol
