Default Should I harvest this?

I brewed a triple in May and aged it on some peaches. It turned out great! The abv is 10%. I used WLP550 and really like its profile. I want to harvest some of the yeast so I don't have to order a new vial for an upcoming brew (my lhbs doesn't carry any white labs). But I have heard that once a beer gets up to a higher alcohol content the yeast in the bottles tend to not be a good choice for harvesting and reusing.
Is this true? Should I just buy another vial or will it be okay to harvest from one of the bottles and step it up to a good pitching rate?
Thanks in advance.
