Default Sad Day (Leaky Keg)

I moved some disconnects around last night, forgetting my almost empty keg of Hefe had a leaky poppet on the liquid side.

This morning, I got in my car and noticed "water" around my kegerator, and out the garage door.

Looks like the last couple of quarts of Hefe is feeding the flies.

That whole post is going to be replaced, poppet and all now. It's bent on top, too.

I feel your pain.
I lost 4 gallons of some really tasty oaked porter that way.

Look at it this way - it's an opportunity to brew something new!

There was a pint and a half left, it was good.

Yeah, I brewed a 5 gallon batch of extract Hefe (Zymurgy experiment), and 5 gallons of German Golden Ale (all grain) today.

That sucks. At least you got to have the very end of it!

I feel your pain too. Had the same thing happen last month, filled my Keezer up about 1-2". Had to pull everything out and clean. That wasn't fun!
