reusing yeast

i have a nice cake of yeast from my last batch. i was gonna use it within a week but life has stretched that to three weeks. if i put some of this yeast in a 1.5 liter started of 1.035 work will it come back to life?

I would say yes, especially if you stored it in a refrigerator. Only one way to find out for sure!
