Default Repairing or reworking a bourbon barrel with loose hoops

I have a really nice freshly dumped Jim Beam barrel watitng for 53 gallons of beer to be racked in this coming weekend. the two enter hoops have crept outward a bit as the barrel has sat in my basement. has anyone had any luch re seating steel hoops on a barrel?? ive dumped about a half gallon of bourbon into the barrel so far to begin re swelling the wood, hoping the staves may expand a bit and help lock the hoops in place.

are there any homebrewing coopers on here that could give me some feedback??
