Default Recomendations for fall brew

Have a handful of successful brews under my belt. All 10 gallon, extract batches. And looking to try something different. Just want advice for a novice on a fall brew. I was thinking either a pumpkin ale or a hard cider. What are your thoughts. I have all necessary equipment to brew anything. So let's here some ideas.

The pumpkin ale I make in the Fall is an AG batch, but you may be able to find a good extract batch on this site. Cider is super easy to do. I highly recommend EdWort's Apfelwein as well. Here is the link: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f25/man-...felwein-14860/
