Default Prost to Williams Brewing and their Malt Extract

so far that is. I had a CL score on some HB gear, buckets, 5g SS pot (not Polarware good, but good enough) and a Williams Belgian Dubble extract kit. The kit was from 2005 but was refrigerated the whole time (from what I was told). I tossed the hops and yeast but decided to try using the extract to make a porter. There was no visible signs of mold or any other nasties in the extract (they package it in clear plastic bag) I have not tasted it yet as it is happily bubbling away in my new fermentation chamber, but it smells good. So it is looking like a #8 of 4 year old extract is actually going to make some beer after all. I hope it tastes as good as it smells...
