I have refractometer and a chart to convert Brix to SG...but
does either tell me what is the sugar content of the liquid?
I mean how do I know if the liquid is say 10% sugar?

1 brix is 1 gram of sucrose in 100 g water. Or 1% sucrose by weight.
10 brix = 10% sucrose, by weight
As our local Lex Brodie would say, "Thank you very much".
