I know it's crazy.......... but is anyone drinking PBR right now? You know.... it was rated America's best beer in 1893..... what the f*ck went wrong. Apparantly PBR was the only beer around in 1893. F Tucker!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see PBR mentioned a lot around here... it must be a guilty pleasure.

There are many AB prods that are guilty pleasures of mine. Michelob being my current...

However I haven't been looking for PBR mind you...

Stag or Pfeiffer either for that fact...

Yes alot of people still drink PBR. Actually in my store it's the third best selling beer. And if you actually tasted it you would agree that it's actually one of the better American Lagers. It's one of the few that still have some hop characteristics in that category. Oh yeah it won the 05 and 06 GABF for American Style Lager.

But if it's made by AB and you don't agree with what they are doing to the CB indusrty, why do you drink it?

It's not being made by AB. Pabst is it's own seperate company. It is contract brewed by Miller just like Sam Adams is contract brewed by Miller (for at least a little while longer).

My neighbor works for a PBR distributor, so he's always got some on hand. PBR isn't bad - especially ice cold.

PBR seems to have the most flavor of the BMC's, but I think a lot of times around here people drink it because it is "ironic" to do so at a brew pub. :P

The last one I had was skunked out so bad I kept thinking someone had crapped their pants though...

I would agree that PBR beats most BMC products on taste. I am not really allowed to have any in the house because SWMBO has a bad impression of PBR. Her uncle has a case in his overalls at all times.
