Default Original gravity

So if you top off your wort to 5 gallons and the OG is still high should you continue to add water to get the OG down or leave the OG high?

Yes, you could do that, or you could just drink a slightly stronger beer. Most of the time it's not much difference anyway. What's the difference between the two numbers?
