Don't know if this is a "proper bottle opener" or not but it definitely comes in handy from time to time. I keep it in my wallet so I always have it with me.

was thinking of clipping it to belt loop, I'm a key minimalist; I can't stand bulky keychains either.

Once when we couldn't find a bottle opener we used a flag bracket. Worked perfectly. Except then we got drunk and lost it so I never got the flag put up.
