Default olive oil in the boil

Would using a bit of olive oil in the boil help prevent, or lesson a boil over? Thanks and happy Thanksgiving!

Just a guess here but it could kill the head on the finished beer for the same reason it would reduce boil bubbles

Are you wanting to use it to reduce foam and also so you don't have to aerate? If so it's been a while since I listened to that podcast but if I remember correctly the amount was so minuscule (less than a drop) that it wouldn't do anything to prevent boil overs. If you added enough to prevent boil overs, your beer would suffer. +1 what revvy said, get some fermcap-s.
