It's definitely a great beer when fresh. I picked up a 4 pack a week or two ago and finally got around to opening one up last night. I don't foresee the other three lasting very long in my fridge.

I am not a huge fan of "blacker" beers in general - because they lack the type of hop character that I like. However, Odell's Mountain Standard is an AWESOME exception to this. One of the best darks I have ever sampled. Of course, the only time I had it was at the brewery - so freshness wasn't a question. Good stuff.

I think that was the one I had in the tap room in December. I liked it but it didn't seem very hoppy. That's probably why I liked it.

It wasn't super "hoppy", but the hops weren't completely drowned out by the malt like some.

I just had some this weekend and it was "rock-em sock-em" good! I'd give it another go.

That's high for any beer. I've been disappointed with all of their overpriced beers. I heard a lot of good things about Myrcenary IPA, then I tried it. It reminded me of the heavy syrup they used to put peaches in. I've had the last two in my fridge for a month. They've gotten their last nickel out of me.

Man! Myrcenary is a great beer to me. Ha ha. I love it. I have to say that I really disliked their burbon barrel stout out of the bottle. I had it fresh and it was great but out of the bottle it was digusting. Their Avant Peache is great too, if you like those kinds of beers.

How old was the bottle? Their 'drink by date' is 4 months from when they bottled it. I'm not here to slam your opinion, but Myrcenary is a world-class IIPA, so I find it odd that you really didn't like it.
