Default Need Some Help

So my university requires a senior project, they are generally vary broad in what is allowed. They also will fund up to 1500 dollars for the project. So I want to brew as my project.
The thesis/project advisors response was this:

Quote:
There could potentially be a problem with this one...as it has to do with alcohol and we've had problems in the past with this. What would be your academic angle on this one? Would you have a director supporting you?

Let me know that information and I can better let you know something. This very issue our deans are deciding right now (whether to allow beer brewing as a thesis...stay tuned).
So what is an academic angle on homebrewing?

There's the engineering side of brewing which includes fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, solid-liquid separation. I'm sure if you looked into it you could find something.
