Default Nano-Brewery

If I were to start a nano-brewery would I be able to brew within my house? Or would I need to rent a small facility to brew in? I live in Philadelphia so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.

You have to brew in a separate building. Some have gotten away with attached garages but it probably depends on the person/s you're dealing with. You also will probably need to do some minor construction to get the right plumbing and ventilation. It's a huge pain because you need to have your space ready months before you get inspected and can actually start brewing.

Yeah, Pennsylvania probably has some strange laws/requirements too, what with the "beer distributor" requirements and state run liquor stores.
