Default Naming of brews

Looking at some of the names of your brews lead me to the conclusion that you come up with these names. Well have I got a few ideas.

Fermentor Outback Jack
Secondary 1 Jacaroo Bob
Secondary 2 Yellow belly black(Snake) (There is already a "RedBack"(Spider") brand)
Drinking Murrumbidgee mud

I must admit it sounds better than Draught and hey! why not. I have a new outlook, same beer different label.

So whats the deal? do you patent a name or is it up for grabs. Or are you totaly proud when another trys to emulate your creation.

And what is the feeling if said copier does a better job.

I am deep, actually possesed of a couple of bottles of my(Let me think now) Ah! yes "Terry's Suds" Can't remember which type it was now, just remember is was a bloody good refresher. Note to self "When you see the bottles in the morning get some more for another batch"

AFAICR, you cannot patent a name; only trademark it.

How about a random beer name generator? http://www.strangebrew.ca/beername.php
