In regards to the bourbon used in the recipe, can I use Canadian whiskey instead of bourbon and soak the oak cubes in it with some vanilla beans, will the flavor be good?
Who knows? Try it. Experimenting is the beauty of homebrewing.
I just polished off my bourbon stout. Wonder what it would taste like with whiskey instead. Might as well try.
