Default Ancient MesoAmerican Cacao Beer (and you thought your Chocolate Stout was smokin!)

Use of chocolate much older than originally thought -- and it was made into beer.

Ancient Cacao Beer in the NYT.

I read that in Yahoo last night before going to bed.

I had a feeling they made an alcoholic chocolate brew.

I wouldn't necessarily call it beer, I think that beer has to me made from malted grains.

That being said, I spent the last two weeks drinking chicha in Peru, an ancient fermented beverage made from corn in this case.

sorry, miswrote that, the process of making it is ancient...the stuff I drank was fresh, they drink it while it is fermenting, the later in the day, the more alcoholic it becomes.

I knew that. I was messing with you.

I have drank brews in Africa: that where made the day before.

It's made in a trash can from maize and stuff I don't want to know about. Then they take a bowl and drink from it.
I'm pretty sure you can't catch aids from saliver.
