Hello HBTers!

As avid homebrewers, my friend Jimmi and I recently started a podcast about this hobby that we love so much. I am posting to humbly ask that you give it a listen :). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Our show is once every 2 weeks, where we cover beer news, talk about some of the technical aspects of homebrewing, and natter on about what ever else comes up :). We plan to start doing interviews with our local craft breweries soon.

You can find us on iTunes, Stitcher, or at http://www.maltcast.com

Thanks for the feedback EnjoyGoodBeer. We wanted to start out with a few "Brewing 101" shows, but don't intend to be too basic going forward. Thanks for giving it a listen!

I understand, keep it up fellas. i'll listen to it at work doing my prep.

Listened to show #2 today. Having just started brewing, I found the show helpful. Also enjoyed the news from Stone. I moved to Utah from San Diego, so it was nice to hear some good news from a (formerly) local brewery. Arrogant Bastard was the second beer I ever had, and it will always hold a soft spot in my heart. Unfortunately I can't find it here. Will have to ask the MIL to bring me up a case (or two) on her next visit...

Hey guys! Thanks so much for the feedback!

When I first got into the hobby in Feb. 2012 (still a n00b!), one of the places I went to look for information was podcasts. What I found was that it was hard to find anything that appealed directly to someone who was fairly new to the hobby. Even though the shows I listened to were great and had beginning segments, I felt overwhelmed by the numbers and vocabulary that was being used. While I'm certain that these kinds of podcasts exist, finding them proved more of a chore than just learning from experience. :)

I definitely would love more feedback and if there is any information you think we missed or got wrong, we'd welcome emails or tweets so we can correct them on the show! We are not experts. The show should follow us through an organic growing process, but the idea is to never forget where we came from as beginners.

You can contact the show at [email protected] or on Twitter @MaltCast.

Thanks for your support.

P.S. UtahNate - San Diego you say? Where abouts? I'm up in Vista! We have a jumpin' craft brew scene in our sleepy little fishing villiage (San Diego). :p

Arrogant Bastard is one of my favorites! I hear there is a decent craft scene out there too!!!

Considering Utah's "odd" liquor laws, it is surprising just how many breweries have setup shop in the state; Wasatch, Uinta, Squatters and Epic to name a few... Enjoying a Wasatch Winterfest as I type this now.

This was kinda the original intention. We are both also new to homebrewing. This is following our organic growth as well. :)

We have been getting excellent response so far to the show!! People have been extremely supportive and responsive and we are very grateful. I can't give you exact numbers, but it's been in the half a thousand region so far, and is still growing nicely :).

Just downloaded all four podcasts, finished three of them on the road today. Good stuff.

Keep up the good work!
