Default Kirkland Beer (Costco)

My wife picked up a case of the mixed Kirkland brand from costco.

I think its good beer.

At .75 a beer is really well worth the money.

Anyone else have experience with off brands being good?

My good friend works for costco. he always has teh kirkland beers at his gatherings. He also loves a good craft beer. The ones I have had are all decent.

He was told that the Kirkland beers are brewed in partership with Saranac and just labelled for Costco sale. I would be curious to do a side by side tasting of Kirkland beer vs Saranac.

The brewer for Kirkland beers varies by region. Out here it is Gordon Biersch.

ick...never cared much for GB beers

my buddy's store is in north jersey. that probably explains the saranac association.

Ya it's widmer brewed here in Phoenix. At least it was as of like six months ago. I thought they were pretty good beers for the price.
