We use a teaspoonful in a gallon. A buddy of mine swears that it is a LESS effective sanitizer if it is too concentrated. He's a smart guy and knows more chemistry than I do, but I'm just not sure.

In any event, it really doesn't take much and it's a very light colored solution.
