Default iBrewMaster

i just finished my trial version of BeerSmith2. really liked using it, and i'm now convinced that electronic recording is the way to go.

because i'm a huge apple user, i was hoping i could fine BeerSmith in the apple app store. unfortunately, it's not yet available, but during my search, i stumbled across the iBrewMaster app. the $14.99 price is appealing to me, and because i'm a huge apple guy, i'll be able to constantly have access to my recipes on my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro (did i mention i'm a huge apple guy). the convenience is very appealing to me.

does anyone have any experience with this program? i'm debating on whether to purchase BeerSmith or iBrewMaster.

thanks!

Yeah been using it since last summer. There is a tread on here about it somewhere. I use the iPhone version. I like it.

I also was looking into this. I had a pc with beersmith til my computer recently crashed. I now have a Mac and also an iPhone. If you buy the app on one is there anyway to use it on both?

As a fellow apple fanboy, I feel your pain, but to be honest I wasnt impressed with the way beersmith ran on my mac and found it to be be way more program than I need right now. iBrewmaster does everything I need it to do with a clean, easy to use interface. Love it!

Found the answer. That won't work. I think I would rather have it on the Mac than the iPhone

I have Beersmith2 for my mac and iBrewmaster for my iPad. I find that iBrewmaster has way too much information jammed into one view and it's clunky. Neither of the applications really follow any of the guide lines for iOS/OSX apps. I would love if Beersmith would run on iPad, but until then it's Beersmith and my MBA.

I just picked up an iPad to supplement my iPhone and sadly it looks like if you want the iPad version you gotta buy it separately. The iPhone version does run on it but in stretchy mode. There is also currently no easy way to sync between them but I hear rumor that's in the works.

With that said, I love both.

I have Beersmith2 and its not the greatest of programs, for mac at least. It isnt set up like other programs and I have only used the most basic of options because everything else seems a little confusing. Maybe thats just me though.

I have always had bs2 on my laptop until a recent crash. I picked up a macbook air and am running the beersmith2 trial and it acts exactly the same as it did on my laptop... Only thing I'm bummed about is having to buy it over again when I just got the pc version for christmas...
