Default I have the Auto-Siphon Blues

My first time using the auto-siphon they supply with beer making kits will be my last. What a piece of junk. I can't be the only one who thinks this.

I need something else to do transfers. I don't want to buy a $100 electric pump.

I was thinking this might work OK. What do you think?

Agreed. I use the auto siphon and thing works like a charm. I get a few years out of them before the thing wears out but I always feel I get my monies worth.

The internal plunger part on mine is smaller than it should be, so it doesn't get a good seal. It's a loose fit. It takes a few tries to get it working which introduced some bubbles. Should it work with one plunge?

I'll mess around with later, but it didn't seem right.

Also, I just bought a new one with a plastic clip to clip to my boil kettle. Huge plus. I believe I got it at AHS.
