Ok, so I'm a noob and I used a keg that I also used for root beer for my beer. I thought I cleaned it well with hot water (no oxyclean), but now my beer taste like soda. On New Year's Eve the beer did not taste like soda and we drank about 4 gallons of my Nut Brown Ale from an extract kit. Today I was going to dump the beer but thought I would try it out without using the picnic tapper, so I racked some into a glass and it taste pretty good.
So how can I save this 1 gallon of beer. It is forced carbed. Here are my thoughts:
1. Leave it in the carboy with airlock and drink it all in 2-3 days.
2. Add priming sugar and bottle. (would this make too much carbination)
3. Clean my keg with oxyclean and re-keg the beer.
Other thoughts?
